The São Paulo based artist Renata Cruz moves through different languages to form the body of a visual work in which cataloging, archiving and assembly are some of the main vectors of its poetics. She can either use the pages, covers, dust jackets of books and images as a installative collage of matter itself - as the work presented in Paço das Artes in 2010 -, put fluidly between the library and the educational sector of the institution, or as using writing as decisive part for her delicate designs - as in the series Classification of a House (2013). Sometimes the collaborative nature and questioning look on the standardization - as the series Mapping of Temporary Truths (2013) - also show in her present work.
