Artist Éder Oliveira proposes, in Belém, a project to discuss the portrait in the contemporaneity. Being today a popular format, the portrait is present in almost all Western societies as instruments of identification, registry or affirmation of the self and of the other. In the multiplicity of digital selfies, what is the place of the portrait in contemporary painting and art? Made possible by Funarte's National Network Program of Visual Arts 2015 and by the Culture Ministry, the actions of Retratos Contemporâneos, with Oliveira, Armando Sobral, Ernesto Bonato and Fábio Baroli occur between November 08 and 12.
