Between October and December, artist Renata Cruz takes part in the project Em Algum Lugar entre a Terra e a Casa, at Oficina Cultural Oswald de Andrade.
The development of the poetic proposal is conceptually similar to an artistic residency, through the occupation and relationship with the place – the "little house", located in the backyard of Oficina Oswald de Andrade – and with the people involved: public, artists, curator, invitees and neighbors. The symbolic construction of the house has as starting point a table and a collective notebook owned by the five artists that will inhabit that space. Throughout the exhibition, in an organic and open format, acts will be proposed inside and outside of the house (experiences in the Oficina and derived from the neighborhood). The house – poetic space, atelier, place of meeting and of rest – will be transformed into a laboratory open to the processes of experience exchange, integrating reflexion, research, experimentation and artistic production.
Part of the program is the exhibition Em Algum Lugar Entre a Terra e a Casa, curated by Galciani Neves, with works by artists Alessandra Duarte, Bel Falleiros, Flavia Mielnik, Laura Gorski and Renata Cruz, which occurs between October 17 and January 23, and the workshops Desenho como Jornada e Pintura como Lugar, A Experiência de um Território: Expedições pelo Bairro do Bom Retiro and Livro de Artista: Percursos e Cruzamentos, coordinated by the same artists.
